My mum bought me a sleeping bag and walking trousers for student cross which is good because it means I might have some money left over for beer etc. I was a bit worried about being able to afford it because the ticket to Nottingham cost £30 (compared to £9.90 to get to Lancaster), with £15 coach plus £8 train to get back.
