Wednesday I caught the train to return to Lancaster at quarter past four. I'd booked a journey with an hour to change at Watford Junction, it was a choice of one hour or five minutes and I've done the five minutes option before, it's very hard with a suitcase. I thought I would get bored at the station so I took my mums copy of Harry Potter and the order of the phoenix to read, but when I was actually at Watford Junction I just read Gary Larson 5 which I bought at the Cancer Research UK shop where I've been working in Haywards Heath. All in all the journey was relaxing more than boring, the only bad bit was lugging my suitcase up the hill to Langley road.

Thursday Began to wrestle with the massive task of tidying my room in order to get at my desk to revise for my resits. When I'd got all my food out I found that I'd filled more than my fair share of the kitchen cupboard space with tins of chicken tonight and economy beans etc. So I'm going to have to eat all that. I went into town to buy some chicken and I noticed that most of the no.2 buses had been replaced with new double deckers, so getting to and from campus by bus shouldn't be so hard in the new term. After I'd got back to my house and had eaten, my parents unexpectedly phoned to tell me they were coming through Lancaster and to ask if I wanted to come out for a meal. I told them I'd eaten but invited them round to the house for a cup of tea, as Mum hadn't seen the house.

Friday Did a little more tiding early this morning and had breakfast and came onto campus on one of the new(er) double decker buses. Unfortunately there were road works at the junction with collingham park so it was very slow. I'm going to check the department noticeboard and look on the web to see if I can book rooms in Youth Hostels to go walking in the Lake District after I've done my resits.

Actually, Fujifilm have made one with a 2 inch screen too.

Kodak have made a digital camera with a sensible size screen. The days of people crowding round a tiny camera screen where they can't really see the image may be coming to an end.

Tomorrow I will be going to the CIXen barbeque. I haven't actually been going on CIX, but it should be a laugh.
